Dr. Sabina Abidi was trained both in her home town of Halifax at Dalhousie University as well as at the University of Toronto. She pursued her medical degree following completion of an honours thesis in Psychology with the intent to focus on psychiatric illness in youth. Following residency training in Psychiatry she completed further specialty fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry with a subspecialty focus in early psychosis and early intervention for psychotic disorders.
Dr. Abidi developed the IWK Health Centre Youth Psychosis Program, an extension of the Early Psychosis Program in Nova Scotia, Canada.
