Dr. Lukas Propper is an expert in Autism Spectrum Disorders who joined the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the IWK Health Centre and Dalhousie University as a Staff Psychiatrist and Assistant Professor in 2003. After being trained as a Fulbright Fellow by Dr. Fred Volkmar at Yale Child Study Center (2001 / 2002), Dr. Propper has developed his interests in the neurobiology and pharmacotherapy of autism. In addition to his clinical and research work in autism, Dr. Propper also collaborates on a multi-site high-risk study of the youth of parents with Bipolar Affective Disorder with Dr. Tomas Hajek and Dr. Claire O’Donovan (Dalhousie University), Dr. Martin Alda, and Dr. Anne Duffy (McGill University).
