Individual Practice Profiles

An Individual Practice Profile is the faculty member's agreement with the Department of Psychiatry and is required of all members of the Department practicing within the facilities of Capital Health and IWK Health Centre. Your IPP specifies your commitments in clinical care, teaching, administration, and research.

Each year you will receive four documents during the month of March including:

Your deadline to complete these forms and return them to Ms. Linda Ford is April 27.

You may contact your Clinical Director to propose changes to your clinical commitments from the previous year or you may prefer to discuss such changes at your scheduled meeting.

You will be contacted by the Education office to discuss your academic commitment for the coming year. If you are involved in Research, please complete the Research section of the IPP document in full. If you wish to make significant changes in your academic responsibilities, you must contact Dr. Allan Abbass (Director of Education) and/or Dr. Ben Rusak (Director of Research) prior to your scheduled meeting. Please remember that you have both clinical and academic responsibilities.

If you would like to participate in specified remunerated departmental activities within the International Section, please contact Ms. Julie O'Grady the International Psychiatry Administrator.

Your IPP meeting will be scheduled beginning in May. Please be sure to take a final look at your documents prior to your scheduled meeting. Should any of the above require clarification, do not hesitate to contact Ms. Janet Bardon, HR Administrator.
